About Stefano

Stefano has always been a performer both on and off stage. Competing since the age of 10, he is the winner of every major national Australian Dancesport championship and has represented his country at a host of prestigious international events including World Latin and Standard Championships.

1998 saw his youth career highlight of 7th place at
The British Open To The World Championships Youth Standard and 8th in the Youth Latin.

Since his move to the professional arena some 6 years ago, Stefano is proud to have won the 2003 Singapore International Professional Open Standard Championships and the 2004 World New Vogue Championships.

Undefeated in both Amateur and Professional Australian New Vogue since 2000, Stefano’s passion of dance, hard work and dedication has seen him most recently
win yet again the 2007 Australian Professional New Vogue Championships.

With so much enthusiasm for entertainment coursing through his veins, Stefano realised a love for singing at the age of 17, and started coaching with some of Australia’s leading vocal coaches and Musical Theatre experts, such as Brendan Monger, Avigail Herman, Lisa Schoew and famed Classical Opera great, Robert Bickerstaff.

Stefano has many stage credits and lead roles to his name starring as Billy Flynn in CHICAGO, Bernardo in WEST SIDE STORY and Skye Masterson in GUYS AND DOLLS to name but a few.

In 2004 Stefano joined the world renowned stage show BURN THE FLOOR and has been a “family member” ever since! Together with Natalie, he has just finished touring with FLOORPLAY by BURN THE FLOOR and toured over 17 cities around the world!

Living in New Zealand for the first half of this year, Stefano is delighted to return home recently from winning the 2007 DANCING WITH THE STARS series 3. Teamed together with ” info-mercial” queen and celebrity Suzanne Paul, the two were crowned the 2007 champions after dazzling audiences week after week with vivacious routines, breath-taking lifts and stunning performances. Stefano and Suzanne represented the Starship Foundation and Children’s Hospital and helped raise the most amount of money ever on any series of the show accumulating to over $140,000.00!

Appearing regularly around Australia at many events, Stefano has been dancing professionally for 3 years with Natalie Lowe, winner of the smash hit show DANCING WITH THE STARS Series 6 on Channel 7, and has never been happier. In fact, he is often heard saying his performing has never been better!
